Instrument Pod


Slick decided that the stock pod would not hold all the intsruments he wanted, so he cut it in half, expanded it 3in. and started to re-shape it to look more like the nose of the extra.


Here slick is all caught up in his mess. Bondo shavings made with a cheese grader file.
	Pulling the bondo tight to make a smooth finish to minimize sanding.
Last years aircraft spruce catalog makes a great mixing slab. After each mix, just tear off the page and start with a new one. After the plug is formed, sanded and painted, the surface is smooth. Then a mold is made of epoxy and end grain balsa. Then the parts can be made of carbon fiber.
